Our Veterinarians

A California native, Dr. Telles was married at 18 and then moved around the country for several years supporting her husband’s career in the Air Force. After he retired, the family settled back in California and Dr. Telles decided to go back to school to pursue her passion: veterinary medicine. After completing a few classes at a local junior college, she enrolled at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona’s animal science program, graduating with her Bachelor’s degree a few years later. Next, Dr. Telles took a position in a corporate veterinary hospital for two years before gaining acceptance to the Western University of Health Science’s veterinary program.

Dr. Telles graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, and returned to the practice she had worked with previously to start serving as a licensed veterinarian. It wasn’t long before she decided she would open her very own practice to provide the area’s pets with not only top-notch medical care, but a loving and fear-free environment in which to thrive—that’s when Murrieta Family Pet Hospital was born! The practice opened for business in June of 2014, and Dr. Telles and her team have been helping the pets of the area live happier, healthier lives here ever since.

Outside of animal care, Dr. Telles enjoys hiking and camping, crafting, reading, and spending quality time with her family. She has two grown children who live in Montana and Arizona, as well as three wonderful grandchildren. Dr. Telles lives with her husband of nearly 40 years and a rescued Yorkie, George.
