Karla was raised alongside her family pets, and it wasn’t hard for her to fall in love with animal care early on in life. For her, getting to help pets feels better in a hands-on way is a dream come true!
Karla began her career in the nursing field, caring for human patients. When her sister—who helps pets as a Veterinary Technician—challenged Karla to work with her in the veterinary world, Karla couldn’t pass up the chance! Now, she’s a proud member of the Murrieta Family Pet Hospital team and gets to better the lives of animals and their owners on a daily basis. Karla’s favorite part of her work is the fast-paced nature of the job; there’s truly never a dull moment!
When Karla has free time away from the office, she loves to spend time with her family, read a good book or complete a puzzle, and go for bicycle rides. She and her family share their home with several pets: a Labrador; a cuddle-loving Miniature Poodle; and a rambunctious Chihuahua who loves causing havoc with the other dogs. She serves Murrieta Family Pet Hospital as our Practice Manager.
Alicia has always been interested in working with animals – especially dogs. Unfortunately, growing up with a father who was allergic, Alicia had to admire them from afar. This didn’t dampen her passion, though, and her love of animals has led her to a lot of different places, from working at clinics and volunteering at shelters, to fostering dogs, transporting for rescues, and now, as an adult, having her own herd at home. Taking care of animals is what Alicia is meant to do!
When Alicia’s son started college, she felt it was time for her to look for a full-time job. Having worked at veterinary clinics in the past prior to starting a family, she felt that returning to her first love was the perfect path for her to take. As one of our client service representatives, Alicia enjoys being a smiling face or a supportive shoulder for people when they are dealing with tough emotional situations with their pets. She also enjoys getting to spend her days with some amazing animals.
At home, Alicia is happily married to her husband, Brent, with whom she has one son, Judah, and two dogs, Samson and Harrison. Samson is a 75-pound super-mutt who loves hiking with dad and making friends on the trails. Harrison is a Golden Retriever who appreciates anything fluffy and squishy. He always has a “baby” in his mouth wherever he goes.
In her spare time, Alicia loves being creative, whether it’s knitting, crocheting, making pottery, or baking. Her greatest achievement in baking was being featured on a baking competition show on Hulu called Baker’s Dozen

Prior to becoming a kennel technician, Janette had been retired but was itching to do something new. She achieved her veterinary assistant certificate and joined the Murrieta Family Pet Hospital team in June of 2023. She chose this field primarily because she has always loved animals and wanted to learn more about how to properly care for them. Janette is well-loved by her colleagues as well as our clients and their furry family members.
Debbie always loved and cared for animals. She especially has a sweet spot for senior dogs since her own beloved dog reached 17 years old. She was a certified veterinary assistant for 3 years before she decided to go to dog grooming school. She attended and graduated from the American Grooming Academy in February 2022 and has been grooming for a total of 3 years now. Debbie loves the art of grooming. What a wonderful thing is it when a career and a passion come together.
Natasha has worked as a veterinary receptionist since 2021 and understands that visiting an animal hospital can sometimes be stressful. She strives to make every pet parent feel heard, supported, and understood throughout their visit.
She has a 3 old chihuahua named Peach, who is truly her best friend. Her partner of ten years has a German shepherd, and despite being complete opposites, the two dogs make the sweetest duo.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, going to the movie theatre, and playing video games. She has loved animals since she was very young and is always excited to keep learning more about them every day.
